1. Who controls your data

Arena24 is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact privacy@arena24.com.

2. What we collect

Account: your email and, optionally, a display name, locale and birth year.

Profile and passions: the activities you follow and your self-declared skill — your "passion graph".

Location: an approximate home area and, only if you turn it on, a more precise point. See section 4.

Activity and content: games you host or join, Arena Moments, kudos, chat messages, reports and blocks.

Technical: device and app data needed to deliver and secure the service.

3. Why we use it and our legal bases

To provide the service and your games and bookings (performance of a contract).

To surface relevant games, people and venues near you using your passions and location (your consent and our legitimate interest in making the product useful).

To keep people safe — moderation, reports, blocks, abuse prevention (legitimate interest and legal obligation).

Optional things like marketing emails only with your consent, which you can withdraw any time.

4. Location — private by default

By default we store and show only an approximate area (neighbourhood level, roughly 1 km). Precise GPS is used only if you explicitly opt in, and even then your precise location is never shown to other users.

We use location to find activities near you, not to track you. You can switch precise location off at any time in privacy settings.

5. The passion graph

We use your passions and skill levels to match you with games and people — not to build advertising profiles or sell your data. We don't sell your personal data.

6. Who can see your data

Other users see your display name, approximate area, passions, public activity and any content you post. They never see your email or precise location.

When you book a venue, the necessary booking details are shared with that venue operator.

We use trusted service providers (hosting, email, error monitoring) that process data on our behalf under contract.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we anonymise your personal data, keeping only what the law or platform integrity requires (for example proof of the consent you gave, and content others interacted with, without your name).

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can: access and export your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can export your data and delete your account directly in the app.

If you believe we mishandled your data, you can complain to the Romanian supervisory authority (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro).

9. Security, transfers and age

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and rate limiting, and we process it within the European Union. Arena24 is for adults only (18+) and is not directed at children.
